| There Is No Shoe With The "Perfect Fit"June 28, 2019 - Lauren LeamanSurprise! Blog number two. Unfortunately I am going to be out of the office next week, so I thought I would go ahead and give you another post this week to make up for it.
Ever wonder what to look for in a shoe for a half marathon? No worries, Dorsey Cheuvront Jr. at On The Run has got you covered. Other than color, what are you suppose to look for when purchasing a new shoe? Well according to Dorsey “There isn't a best running, it is what ever is best for your feet.” One of the things he mentioned to me was that people always think they need the lightest shoe they can find, but that is false, especially for a half marathon. Dorsey pointed out that 13.1 miles is a long way to go so you should be looking for comfort first. You want a shoe that first fits your foot the best. Not every brand will match up with you, but there is one out there. Every foot is different, it all depends on your own foot type. If your are looking to run a half marathon in them, go for the most cushioned. Dorsey stated that “you will need more cushioning than you even realize.” The most popular shoe going out the door at On The Run is Brooks. Dorsey has about 6 pairs that are “really hot” right now. He told me that Brooks is a small company with a small selection of shoes. So if you are ever looking for shoe advice I recommend going to On The Run. You will be able to find a wide variety of running/walking shoes, gear and (you guessed it) Half Marathon registration forms! Be sure to register for the race now. The second price increase is only a few weeks away! ![]() ![]() ![]() Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. ![]() ![]() ![]() Post a Comment![]() ![]() ![]() | in: News, Blogs & Events Web ![]() ![]() ![]() Blog Photos![]() ![]() |
