Course Connections - MILE 13.1: Located in the crosswalk at Market and Sixth streets, the finish line is the end point for both The News and Sentinel Half Marathon and the Two-Mile Race. The race committee that organizes the event repaints the finish line every year on the Monday evening before the race. It normally takes about two hours and several gallon of paint to refresh the area. The current red and white finish line has been part of the Market Street landscape since 2002.
