Course Connections - MILE 11: When you turn right from Avery Street onto 13th Street the toughest climb of the race lays in your path. The 13th Street Hill is not the highest or longest climb of the race, but it comes late in the race and brings many runners to a slow walk. The descent is fast and makes a sharp left at the bottom. A brick house at the bottom has proven a tough obstacle for wheelchairs racers who have hit the house on a number of occasions.
