Course Connections - MILE .1: Much of the first mile of the News and Sentinel Half Marathon is up hill and is ran on Juliana Street. In the second block of the race you pass a large federal building. Even though the sign on the front of the building says "Post Office" the building is used to process the mail and is not for consumers. If you have a letter to mail you will need to hold onto it until mile 12. The post office is now on Market Street.
