Walk for your Health

Hello fellow runners,

Many people want to start exercising and develop a healthy lifestyle but often find that running is too difficult or their joints cannot handle the impact. A great way to be a part of the News and Sentinel half marathon is to walk.

Walking is low impact exercise but you are still receiving great health benefits. Walking the half marathon allows you to be a part of the excitement on race day while doing an exercise you can handle. Telling your friends and family that you walked the half marathon is definitely something to brag about! Who knows after walking the half marathon this year maybe you will be inspired to train to run the race next year.

Remember that to be successful you have to find motivation whether that be from friends and family or just trying to become a healthier you.
